How do you quickly fix an automated door bell chime that stops making sound?
My home front door button lights up when pressed, but the internal wall chime speaker box refuses to ring. How do I test where the electrical circuit failed?

Unscrew the outdoor button plate and bridge the two loose copper wires together using a screwdriver. If the chime rings, the button switch contact is broken and needs replacement.
