I keep getting rejected for jobs. What am I doing wrong?

I've applied to over 100 jobs in the last 3 months and only got 3 interviews. I have 4 years of experience in digital marketing, a bachelor's degree, and I tailor my resume for each application. I even have a solid LinkedIn profile. At this point I'm starting to think something is fundamentally wrong with me. Any advice?

First, take a deep breath — 100 applications with 3 interviews is actually pretty normal in today's market. The problem is almost never \"you.\" It's usually one of these issues:

1. Your resume is ATS-unfriendly. 75% of resumes get rejected by applicant tracking systems before a human ever sees them. Use a clean, single-column format. No graphics, no tables, no headers/footers. Use keywords directly from the job description.

2. You're applying to the wrong level. With 4 years of experience, you might be overqualified for some roles and underqualified for others. Aim for jobs that say \"3-5 years experience.\"

3. Your LinkedIn isn't doing enough. Recruiters search LinkedIn daily. Make sure your headline isn't just your job title — use something like \"Digital Marketer | SEO & PPC Specialist | Helping Brands Grow.\"

4. Stop cold applying. Networking gets you 5-10x more callbacks. Message hiring managers directly on LinkedIn with a short, personalized note. Even one connection at the company can get your resume to the top of the pile.
