My iPhone battery drains very fast. How can I fix it?

My iPhone 14 Pro was getting me through a full day easily, but now it's dead by 3 PM. I haven't changed my usage habits at all. Battery health shows 89%. Is this normal or is something wrong with my phone?

89% battery health is actually pretty good, so the battery itself probably isn't the main issue. First, check your battery usage in Settings > Battery. Look for any apps that are using excessive background activity. Social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are notorious battery killers because they refresh constantly in the background.

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn it off for apps you don't need updating in real-time. Also check Location Services — apps that track your location constantly will destroy your battery. Set them to "While Using" instead of "Always."/p>

Another big one: check if you have 5G enabled. Go to Settings > Cellular > Voice & Data and switch to LTE. 5G uses significantly more battery, and in many areas the speed difference is barely noticeable.

Also, make sure Low Power Mode isn't fighting with something else, and check if any iOS update is pending. Sometimes a buggy update causes battery drain. If nothing works, do a full reset (not factory reset, just reset all settings) and set up fresh. That fixes weird battery issues surprisingly often.
