What is the difference between a credit score and a credit report?
When applying for a mortgage or loan, how do lenders use these two financial tools to judge my financial trustworthiness?

A credit report is a detailed historical document listing all your credit accounts, payment history, and current debts. A credit score is a three-digit mathematical summary (usually between 300 and 850) generated from the data in that report to quickly grade your risk level.
