Psychopathy is largely considered genetic; psychopaths are highly organized, manipulative, and completely lack the neurological capacity for empathy or guilt. Sociopathy is largely environmentally induced (trauma); sociopaths are erratic, impulsive, and can form weak emotional bonds with specific groups.
