Why do your home window panes accumulate dense water droplets on the inside glass during winter?

Every freezing morning my bedroom windows are covered in liquid moisture that drips down onto the wooden frames causing mold. Where does this water originate?

This is condensation. Warm indoor air holds moisture from breathing cooking and showering. When this humid air hits the freezing glass surface of winter windows it rapidly cools below its dew point transforming into liquid droplets.
